Stipulation
This is an executed agreement between FERC and other parties, usually other government agencies with jurisdictional responsibilities that are interrelated to FERC regulatory functions, or with a utility or other parties, concerning the means and methods by which specified activities will be conducted.
This is an agreement by all parties in the proceeding as to the truth of certain facts and/or meaning or interpretation of a legal matter.
This is a signed, certified agreement or contract between external parties submitted to FERC. Most contracts are submitted as documentation to an application or report and are not entered as a separate data record on FERRIS. Contracts are indexed into the eLibrary only when submitted as a standalone document without sufficient content information to relate the contract to an application or report.
This is an agreement to a proposed settlement (or Stipulation and Agreement) submitted to the presiding ALJ or the Commission of the issues in dispute in a litigated proceeding. Such a settlement agreement may be contested or uncontested. It may be a partial settlement or it may be intended to resolve all issues in litigation. Such agreement becomes effective upon issuance of an order approving the proposed terms of the settlement.
